Press Release SiTune Corporation, a leader in CMOS radio-frequency (RF) and mixed signal solutions for broadcast television, announced its latest generation of state of the art Mobile Digital TV and Universal CMOS TV tuners based upon its P2TUNE architecture. STN-10T2000 and STN-25T2000 are respectively highly integrated ZERO-IF and LOW-IF Tuners that exceed A74 performance specification for ATSC-MH while supporting other digital/analog terrestrial and Mobile TV standards requirements with best in class power consumption. ‘’ Architecting our technology to exceed the challenging performance , power, cost requirements of mobile television broadcast standards such as ATSC-MH , the STN-25T2000 and STN-10T2000 are equipped with advanced mechanisms to enable SiTune to aggressively expand into other worldwide standards and markets.” said Vahid Toosi President and CEO of SiTune Corporation. “Leveraging on multiple technological innovations, STN-10T2000 and STN-25T2000 surpass both power and performance requirements for challenging application like ATSC-MH and will enable applications not possible before.” The Low-IF structure of the STN-25T2000 provides a superior choice for non-OFDM TV signals like ATSC-MH and Analog-TV while ZERO-IF structure of STN-10T2000 is totally protected against image signals and uniquely covers a wide band from 50MHz to 900MHz which is a new feature compared to existing Zero-IF tuners in the Market.
The devices feature a versatile Synthesizer which is a very low phase noise PLL which is configurable between a fractional architecture and integer one and the patented baseband AGC gain control system distributes the gain across the stages of the high order filter to maintain superior linearity while exceeding Noise specifications. Availability: SiTune demonstrated the STN-10T2000/STN-25T2000 by appointment during IBC 2009 (Netherland/Amsterdam) (Sep 11-15). Limited Engineering Samples and evaluation kits are available now with production release in Q4 2009. Production devices are available in Q1 2010.
